Role overview
We are looking for a senior engineer and technical lead who can own the end-to-end delivery of KOŚA — from architectural decisions and DevOps infrastructure to team leadership and product roadmap execution. This is a high-ownership role: you will set the engineering standard for the team, drive the AWS EKS infrastructure migration, lead GxP compliance reviews, and work directly with the Product Lead to translate the 3-year roadmap into shippable sprints.
Key responsibilities
Architecture & technical leadership
- Own the overall system architecture of KOŚA — define patterns for the frontend, backend, database and infrastructure layers that the whole team follows
- Lead the infrastructure migration from Supabase Cloud + serverless Lambda to AWS EKS (Kubernetes), AWS RDS/Aurora (Multi-AZ PostgreSQL) and AWS ALB
- Design and enforce multi-tenant isolation, RLS policy coverage and data partitioning for 2,000+ concurrent users and 5-year regulated retention
- Drive technical decisions on upcoming modules: E-Logbooks, HR/ERP integration, Market Complaint, E-BMRs, QMS, VLM and LLM/AI
- Establish coding standards, review processes and automated quality gates across the monorepo
DevOps & infrastructure
- Write and maintain Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts and GitLab CI/CD pipelines for the containerised Node.js/Express middleware
- Configure AWS services: EKS, RDS/Aurora with PgBouncer pooling, ALB/NLB, WAF, Shield, CloudWatch dashboards and automated backup/DR
- Maintain the Redis cache strategy: TTL policies per data type, volatile-lru eviction, invalidation on document version publish
- Own the disaster recovery runbook — RTO/RPO targets tested and documented to satisfy 21 CFR Part 11 §11.10 validation requirements
GxP compliance & regulatory delivery
- Act as technical owner of GxP compliance: 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, GAMP 5 IQ/OQ/PQ evidence, ALCOA++ at every data entry point
- Lead the 21 CFR Part 11 §11.10 self-assessment checker and ensure audit trail completeness — who/what/when, tamper-evident, non-deletable
- Own the electronic signature module: cryptographic binding, reason capture, identity verification and signature record schema
- Oversee change control workflows so every system or document change creates a traceable change record
Product delivery & team leadership
- Break the 3-year roadmap into quarterly milestones, sprint plans and resource allocations with the Product Lead
- Run sprint ceremonies: planning, standups, retrospectives and release reviews
- Own delivery timelines — identify risks early, manage scope and communicate status to stakeholders
- Lead, mentor and grow a team of mid-level developers, junior developers and interns; conduct technical interviews
Skills & qualifications
- 7+ years of full stack development experience, with at least 2 years as a tech lead or principal engineer
- Expert-level React 18 / TypeScript and Node.js/Express — able to set the architecture, not just follow it
- Deep PostgreSQL expertise: advanced schema design, query plans, RLS, partitioning and connection pooling (PgBouncer / RDS Proxy)
- Production AWS experience: EKS / Kubernetes, RDS/Aurora, Lambda, S3, KMS, CloudWatch, WAF
- Hands-on Kubernetes: manifests, Helm charts, ingress, scaling policies and CI/CD deployment pipelines
- Strong Redis and caching architecture knowledge: TTL strategy, eviction policies, invalidation patterns
- Experience delivering regulated software (GxP, HIPAA, ISO 13485 or similar) is highly preferred
- Project management experience: sprint planning, roadmap execution, risk management and stakeholder communication
- Excellent written and verbal English — technical specs, compliance documentation and architecture decision records
- B.Tech / B.E. / M.Tech in CSE, IT or equivalent; AWS or CKA certifications a plus
